I'm Done!

Hello and guess what? I'm finished. done. the end. kaput. NO MORE!

I GRADUATED!

I have my bachelors of science degree in psychology.

<

The best part of it all is that I got to graduate with my wonderful boyfriend!

Now what you may ask? Well to be honest, I just dont know. Right now I have a full time job as a receptionist...but that is not where I want to end up. Ultimately the smart thing to do would be to go to grad school. And we all know that that is super expensive!

Any other Psych majors out there?

You know what is strange? You dream about this day your whole life. The day you graduate high school you think that you will never make it to your bachelors degree. And then finally that day comes...and goes.

It's Been A Month

Here's the update.

I haven't posted in over a month and that is because I GOT A JOB! I am officially in the grown-up world...eight to five. To be honest, it isn't my favorite thing in the world. And for all you still in college trying to decide if you should graduate this semester or next...I vote NEXT! Stay as long as you can. But it is what it is, and I needed to start working.

I guess one benefit (out of many) is that I get to buy new work clothes! Right? Perfect excuse.

I "officially" graduated in a month.

Still dating my boy.

I think I am addicted to online shopping...I got my tax return and I should probably save it instead of spending it.

I found this awesome deal on Tobi that you girlies should join in on...just click HERE.

Sorry for no fun pictures this time...I promise my next post will be much better!

I Dont Know about You...

But she's feelin 22!!!

Thank you Taylor Swift for writing a song about anything and everything us girls go through. The other day my best friend, Aims, turned 22! And what better way to celebrate than doing everything in T-swifts song....

It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters!

K, I know that I probably dress up like a "hipster" on a regular basis...but when you HAVE to dress up like one...it's hard! We decided scarfs and glasses where the way to go.

And make fun of our exes, ah ah, ah ah.

So we taped up all the pictures of her exes and had her tell funny stories of them all. Probably the best part of the night!

It feels like a perfect night for breakfast at midnight

Confession...we all fell asleep before we made it to breakfast at midnight. Embarrassing, I know.

To fall in love with strangers, ah ah, ah ah.

Not sure how to do this one...so we kind skipped this part of the song.
And that was our night! Talk about fun! My friends need to turn 22 more often. Oh and I can't forget to share the barbie cake I made her :) Every 22 year old girls dream!

Yeah,
We're happy free confused and lonely at the same time
It's miserable and magical, oh, yeah
Tonight's the night when we forget about the deadlines
It's time

Uh oh!

DIY: Stripes, Moroccan, and Chevron Dresser

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been neglecting my blog. Here's a little project I just finished.

 The Before!

First I painted the main part of the dresser using "mess up" paint from Home Depot.

So this took me forever to figure out. I ended up cutting out one moroccan shape and tracing it with pencil all over the front of the drawer.

I then free handed over the pencil marks. So don't look too closely because there are a lot of mistakes!

Last we added the knobs. Each knob is a different shape!

And now I present to you the Before and After picture!

What do you think? Feel free to ask any questions, I'd be happy to answer any and all of them. I was a ton of fun...took a lot longer than I thought it would. But it turned out great!

I melted my hair!

K not literally. But I have officially lost my "never dyed my hair" virginity! I don't think you guys realize how nervous I was to do this. But I needed something new and fun so I just went for it, with some encouragement from my mother. Ready to see it?

What do you think??

My First Craft Fair!

Hey guys! I finally did a craft fair. It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be. I probably over prepared for the event in fact. I had the opportunity for share a booth with Simply Sage, and I think we did great!

I re covered the inside of an old trunk with burlap...turned out better than I thought it would!

We also made a custom order table....just in case we didn't have something that people wanted!

We also used an old wood crate to create more levels to our table.

It was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to do another one! If you want you could go like my shop facebook page HERE !

Have you done any craft fairs lately? Where at??

Don't You Just Love DIY Projects

Every time I see an old piece of furniture I just want to paint! It's starting to become an addiction. But I guess if painting old furniture is my drug of choice I'll be okay in life! This week I did a simple mirror. I completely forgot to take a before picture but it was just plain wood.

Crochet Bow Tutorial

This pattern is perfect for beginners!

I used medium Vanna's choice yarn and a 4.5 mm hook.

And here's how you make the bows!

First make a slip knot on your hook and chain 5.

Turn and skip the first chain from the hook.

sc 5 times back and then chain one and turn.

continue this for the next 10 rows...don't finish off!

Now it's time for the border.

sc all the way around the bow until you meet back to where you started.

sl st and finish off...leave about a 2 inch tail. Weave the tail to the center of the almost bow.

Next you are going to pinch the piece together and then tie your skein of yarn in a double knot to hold the pinch together. Make sure to tie the knot on the back and tie it tight!

Now just wrap the yarn around. Cover up the tail from the border and leave the end of your knot out so you can tie another knot when you are done wrapping the middle.

Now take you hook and grab the ends of the knot and pull them under the wrap. Cut off the remaining.

Situate your bow...and your done! I hope this all made sense and it wasn't too complicated. It's really easy I promise! If you have any questions just ask! I am selling these bows on my etsy site as clips for only $4 a bow! Check them out HERE!

good luck!

Hello Again!

Hello!

Oh it has been forever! SO much has happened and I just don't even know where to begin. First off, I GRADUATED! No more school for me...unless I decide to go to grad school. I also moved back in with Mom. I wanted to save money and have the freedom to move any where I want without being tied down with a housing contract. The boy moved back to his home (he graduated as well!) and so now we live 2.5 hours away from each other. It kinda sucks to be honest. Well that's my life update in a nutshell. I'm now looking for a job...and I'm having no luck unfortunately...I have no many applications out...but I just haven't heard back from anyone. Any tips? It's pretty dang stressful. I feel like just a bum...I'm a college graduate and I moved back home. BUT let me be a little more positive now!

I shot my first THREE ducks! For all of you that don't know...I got my hunting license last year. My man has been teaching me all the tricks of the trade. Let me just tell you...it is such a rush! But I wont go into too much detail for those of you who aren't fans of hunting. But it was so exciting! I can't believe I actually got some birds...I probably shot about 20 times before I even hit anything.

I also decided to do my first craft show! It is on February 9th in Cedar City, UT! If you want more info just let me know! I am super excited to sell my boot cuffs and some cute little hats :) If your interested in those cute crochet boot cuffs just click HERE!

Well now that I don't have a job or school, I will be focusing a lot on my little business and blogging. I apologize for all of the emails and comments I haven't replied to. I am planning on doing a lot better I promise! I hope all of you have been doing well...now I'm off to read all of your blogs! I haven't read blogs in forever! Can't wait :)

My lovey and amazing roommates decided to have a little gift exchange/Christmas party! I have the absolute best roommates ever and am so glad that I am able to life with such great friends!

It was such a nice break from finals...but now it's back to the stress. Three more days! gah! Are you taking finals right now too? Good luck!
